Situation

Our client was a resources company operating internationally, with a significant world-wide market share. The company had experienced rapid growth and now wanted to reorganize their executive structures to reflect the global changes that had occurred.

Challenges

The main challenges we faced on this project included:

  • Addressing the rapid growth that had increased the challenge of managing the world-wide operations
  • Creating an executive body that was truly a world-wide corporate team capable of running the global organization

Actions

To address these challenges, our consultants:

  • Identified executive and organizational needs
  • Identified what roles and operations would fall under the “global” Executive team and which would fall under local country management
  • Developed and defined additional roles based on the needs of the organization
  • Identified the skill sets needed in each of the roles

Results

At the conclusion of the project all the key success factors had been achieved, and the client was highly satisfied with the project deliverables and the value added by Schroeder & Schroeder Inc. Our actions resulted in:

  • A new executive structure that was successfully implemented to better suit the needs of a global marketplace on a world-wide scale
  • Improved management processes to address the unique needs of this business
